FAQ

What is Home Staging?
Home Staging is THE method of preparing a house for sale. The goal of Home Staging is to make a house appeal to the highest number of potential buyers. This is done so that the house sells faster and for more money.

Another way to look at Home Staging is with this example.  If you were going to sell your car, you would get it washed and waxed, maybe detail it, and remove all your personal belongings.  You would do this in the hope that it would sell for more money.  Your house is a much bigger investment, so when you are ready to sell, wouldn’t you want to do the same level of “detailing”?

How long will it take?
The length of time it takes to stage a house depends on the amount of work needing to be completed and varies for each job.  Please contact me to schedule a meeting and get your Home Staging Report which will outline all the recommendations for your house.

What does it cost?
The Home Staging Report costs $197 and includes photos and specific steps to help get your house ready for sale.  The cost to actually stage the house varies and depends on how much or how little you would like to have me help.

What if I don’t have any furniture?
I have furniture available for monthly rental including couches, beds, kitchen tables, lamps, artwork and accessories.  Everything you would need to fill a vacant house.

What information do you make public?
I occasionally use photographs from staged homes to promote my business.  In addition, if the client approves, I will use a brief statement from the client (including their first name only) describing their thoughts on their staged house.  Discretion is used to ensure that any identifying information (i.e. Last name, address, costs) will not be made public on any promotional material or the website.
